SWOT  Matrix

The SWOT Matrix helps to develop four types of strategies, by matching key external and internal factors. The Strategies are:

 

  •     SO (Strengths-Opportunities)

    Use  a firm`s strenghts to take advantage of external opportunities.

 

  •     WO (Weaknesses- Opportunities)

This strategies aim at improving internal weaknesses by taking advantage of external opportunities.

 

  •     ST (Strengths- Threats)

This strategies use a firm´s streghts to avoid or reduce the impact of external threats.

 

  •     WT (Weaknesses- Threats

This  are defensive tactics for reducing internal weakness and avoiding external threats
