Management:

Managment occurs in all organizations and provides discipline, responsibility, direction, coordination, among others, within the company.

 

It consist of five basic activities:

  • Planning

  • Organizing

  • Motivating

  • Staffing

  • Controlling

 

These activities are important to assess in strategic planning because an organization should continually capitalize on its management strengths and improve on its management weak areas. 

Organizing:

The principle of organizing is the process of structuring, integrating, coordinating task goals, and activities to resources in order to attain objectives.

 

Also this management function is responsible for defining commands of authority in the different areas of the company and in the individuals. Also defining the roles of its individuals and their respective jobs.  This will help the organization in order to have and provide harmony to its members and for the company. 

 

To denote the company's organization is necessary to develop a organigram so the jobs and controls are clear and understandable to the entire organization. It is a graphical representation of the relations, the structure and hierarchy in an organization.

 

The organizing structure allow the coordination and the good communication between the different areas and individuals of the company. 

 

Planning:

Planning is the process by which one determines whether to attempt the task, works out the most effective way of reaching desired objectives, and prepares to overcome unexpected difficulties with the adequate resources.

 

General Objectives:

 

Taitea's General Objectives are to connect two cultures with a delicious Taiwanese tea with high quality, letting our customers have a good experience and a new fun way to drink tea.  Taking in count every single detail that we are offering being in a good conditions and a good quality to keep the loyalty of customers and a good environment for our employees.

 

 

Establishing objectives:

 

  • Attract more customers by social media, publishing striking photos to call the atention from other people that do not still know about taitea.

  • Satisfy our customers needs creating new tendencies by new flavors, sensations and colors.

 

 

Developing polices & Devising strategies:

 

  • Find new ways and strategies for lowering costs and increasing incomes.

  • Take care about the polices that entities ask to the company to make legal and make it work in the right way.

  • Prepare the firm for changes in this industry by updating every day the services and products.

 

 

 

 

 

As we can see in the previous image, the structure that has "The Celstial Tea Shop" is very simplle structure beacuse it is a ver small business. This helps the organization to eliminate questions from workers on who they should report to.

 

Each member of the organization is really important for the succes of the same and each one of them has an important role within the company. 

 

  • The manager are responsible for ensuring their team achieve and maintain agreed standards of work performance and encourage imporvement for workers. An effective role of a manager can contribute to the increase in the organizational productivities and their income, which will ensure the continuity of the organization.

  • The employees are the ones responsable for the sales of the Tea shop and the preparation of the porduct. 

Motivating

Motivation is the act or process of giving someone a reason for doing something by using incentives, persuasion, and mental or physical stimulants; this can change how the workers act in different occasions or activities.

It is the function that takes a person who is distinguished from the rest and is able to make the right decisions for the group , team or organization that precede, inspiring the rest of those involved in that group to achieve a common goal .

TaiTea Leadership motivation is a must that is used to make the employees more efficient in their workplaces without forgetting that they’re humans and need to get different incentives.

 

Communication.

Is a form of collaborative conversation to strengthen a person's own motivation and commitment to change. It is a person-centered counseling style to address ambivalence about change, a normal part of change, but which can be frustrating for the health professional. 
It is designed to strengthen an individual's motivation for and movement toward a specific goal by exploring the person's own reasons for change within an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion.

 

Work groups

A collection of individuals that come together to achieve a stated objective. In a business context, a working group might involve people from different divisions or even companies that are collaborating on a project that requires their particular expertise or time.

 

TaiTea must work in groups to make the company or even the store efficient, fast and friendly to everyone.

 

Behavior modification

The direct changing of unwanted behavior by means of biofeedback or conditioning, there are some facts that help changing to behavior of an individual such as Corrective action, positive reinforcement, expectancy theory, compensation and benefits.

 

Delegation of authority

Every member of the company must know the roll of their work, assuming the workers can make a leader which is their authority or the boss itself can make someone an important part in the communication between the co-workers and the stakeholders/shareholders.

 

Job enrichment

A job design technique that is a variation on the concept of job enlargement. Job enrichment adds new sources of job satisfaction by increasing the level of responsibility of the employee.

While job enlargement is considered a horizontal restructuring method, job enrichment is a vertical restructuring method by virtue of giving the employee additional authority, autonomy, and control over the way the job is accomplished.

 

Job satisfaction

For our employee feel satisfied with the work, we propose to maintain organizational climate that allows a healthy coexistence and recognition of the work of people, such as employee of the month, which can be doped with prizes or money. As last, the employee is offered opportunities for professional and personal growth within the job.

 

 

The application of the employee of the month will be rewarded by optimism and enthusiasm seen in the daily work of the employee, which of course will be reflected in sales. Also given the employee the opportunity to study and help while being flexible schedules, all this in order to have a committed and motivated employee with their work.

 

Needs fullment

We propose listen to professional and personal concerns of employees and give importance to the organizational level, and also give space to communicate needs. We can understand different problems or suggestions we can find solutions to improve the problem. A clear example can be a simple out to eat, or have a few drinks.

 

Organizational change

When we make an organizational change that must be supported with a statement in advance and showing previously anticipated benefits for the employee. Applied to our employees, employees will be discussed in advance any change in the structure of the company, always showing an opportunity for improvement with their respective benefits. In order to have the general approval of the people who influence the company.

 

Employee morale

Do not show deficiencies in the work but opportunities for improvement, provide equal opportunities for inclusion for all, providing opportunities for personal growth and recognize the work of staff. The moral of the company must be reflected in the values ​​and organizational culture proposes that the same company. Staffing 

Also called personnel management or human resource management, includes activities such as recruiting, interviewing, testing, selecting, orienting, training, developing evaluating, rewarding, promoting employees, as well as managing union relations.

 

Staffing plays an important role in strategy-implementation efforts therefore managers are becoming more actively involved in this area and identifying strengths and weaknesses that the organization may have.

For the Celestial tea bar it is really important the hiring process in order to increase efficiency and to ensure consistency and compliance in the recruitment and selection process.

Having an efficient hiring process allows the company to see the right person that will be successful in that position, ask the right questions to the candidate during an interview, have a meticulous psychotechnics evaluation, highlights skills to be tested and also it saves time to the organization. Having a good employee hiring process leads to improve company’s performance.

 

Besides this, for the organization is also important to have a very precise process in the different areas within the staffing process such as:

 

  • Training and Development: “Training is a part of incentives given to the workers in order to develop and grow them within the concern” and “Development also includes giving them key job test or examination in order to analyze their performances.”
    Is important for our company that employees are capable of working properly and efficiently cause, as we are a small organization workers performance is very vital for the success of the company. In the training and development process the Celestial TaiTea Bar focuses on different methods:

    • Demonstrating (Trainer (Manger supervisor) performing the tasks that trainees must learn)

    • Instructing (given verbal or written directions for how to accomplish a task)

    • Supervised Performance

    • Role- Playing (trainees perform job responsibilities with the trainer playing the role of a customer.)
       

The supervisor manager will manage these tasks and also will make an evaluation of their task performance and effectiveness.

 

  • Remuneration: “It is a kind of compensation provided monetarily to the employees for their work performances.” For the celestial TaiTea Bar this is given according to the nature to the job each employees has and also this will be an important monetary incentive for employees.

  • Performance evaluation: “In order to keep a track or record of the behavior, attitudes as well as opinions of the workers towards their jobs” As we are a small organization is essential to be capable of motivating the employees and address each individual’s need.

 

Dismissing employees: For the TaiTea bar dismiss employees is the last resource the company has. The manager will give employees first an oral warning, then a formal written warning, then a final written warning, and then, if necessary, dismissal. Also the manager will have different criteria such as poor performance, misconduct, dangerous behavior, and refusing to follow instructions for firing workers out of the organization.

Controlling refers about all activities undertaken conform the operations that were planned. All managers of TaiTea have controlling responsibilities, those activities are important for an effectively strategies evaluation. They take in count for basic steps

  1.  Establishing performance standard

  2. Measuring individual and organizational performance

  3. Comparing actual performance standards

  4.  Taking correctives actions

 

Taitea is going to control all the activities of the organization through the quality standards and looking if the goals are in continuous improvement and Always supervise the different areas to eliminate the range of process,

The ways to seek for a good improvement is giving a good service and always look for the best of our customers.

 

  • Once the service provided for the customer by TaiTea is finished, our baristas are going to be evaluated by the customers in a range from 1 to 5, being 1 considered as bad performance, and 5 considered as outstanding performance. This is going to allow the company to know which employees are having the best individual performance.

 

 

  • For evaluating the organizational performance, TaiTea is going to have a satisfaction survey about the experience offered by the firm available in the web page, for those customers that already took the service of the company. This is a way for TaiTea of having feedback directly from the people the firm is working for.
