A technological force is the influence that have technology in the business. Technological change, has had a dramatic development in recent decades in communication, information processing, and transportation technologies. This advance has promoted globalization allowing business to expand their global presence at a lower cost and enabling enterprises to coordinate and control a globally production system.

The internet has changed the vey nature of opportunities and threats by alterning the life cycles of productions, increasing, the speed of distributio, creating new products and services, erasing limitations of traditional geographic markets, and changing the historical trade-off between production standardization and flexibility.

It is altering economies of scale, changing, entrey barries, and redefining the relationship between industries and various suppliers, creditors, customers, and competitors.

Social media.

 

  • It can be used as a source of information about the customers of a firm. For example, Facebook can be used to learn about the preferences of consumers, in order to design campaigns for an specific audience.

  • It allows companies to receive feedback from their customers, being able to learn about what the customers think about the product.

  • Makes easier and faster to share contents about new products or services from the firm

  • Social media can be used as a source of advertising

  • Customers are able to share contents related to the firm, which is a way of voice to voice publicity.

In the both Service and Food and Beverage sector, soft technologies are very important, since they are related with the Know How and knowledge of people, to do things that improve the experience related to the product or service.
